The Aris motion detector with pet protection has a sensor range of about 10 to 12 meters with a monitoring angle of about 120 degrees. Thus, the monitoring of a room up to 50 sqm is easily possible. The built-in radio transmitter has a range of about 100 meters.
The motion detector works with a 3.6V lithium battery that lasts for about 5 years. As the battery gets weaker, the red LED starts to flash. You will have about 4 weeks to change the battery. At the same time a radio signal (low battery) is sent, which is received by the Aris control panel. The relevant sensor is then displayed on the control panel display.
To save energy, the motion detector switches to the idle state if movements are registered continuously in front of the motion detector (eg in the living room). If no further movement is registered within a period of about 2 minutes, the motion detector automatically switches back to the transmission mode. The LED indicator, which shows the transmission of the radio signal, can be switched off on request for further battery saving and camouflage.
For the purpose of sabotage protection, a contact switch is installed in the motion detector. As soon as an attempt is made to open the motion detector or tear it from the holder to put it out of operation, it sends a special sabotage signal to the control panel, which then generates and displays an error message or, if the system is armed, triggers an alarm. The motion detector can also be used outdoors in a weather-protected place.
In addition, the device has an animal protection function. This feature allows pets up to 16 lbs (16 kg) to be kept indoors without alarming the animal's movement.
Operating temperature -20 to + 50 degrees C.
The dimensions are 9 x 7 x 5 cm (H x W x D)
The device operates at a frequency of 868 MHz and is only suitable for the Aris alarm center.
